Occupational Therapy is a health care profession aimed at improving performance, preventing illness and disability, and promoting adaptation to life changes. Occupational Therapy is skilled treatment that helps individuals achieve independence in all facets of their lives. Occupational therapy assists people in developing the “skills for the job of living” necessary for independent and satisfying lives. Occupational therapists assess clients with physical and mental challenges in order to develop activities of daily living (ADL) that work best for those clients.
