The Department of Media Studies offers a BA in Media Studies. The major is designed to produce graduates who can think critically and creatively, communicate clearly, employ contemporary media technology ethically and skillfully, and are knowledgeable of the history and theory of film and electronic media. The Department offers two minors: a non-production Film and Television Studies minor and a Radio minor. Opportunities are available for students to participate in the student-run campus radio station WUAG, the Carolina Film and Video Festival, Spartan TV - the on-campus cable channel, various media workshops, and a variety of local and national internship programs.
