The International Business Studies major is an interdisciplinary program in the Bryan School of Business and Economics located in the Department of Business Administration
The program emphasizes the importance of foreign language competency and the multicultural nature of a global economy. This emphasis on understanding other cultures, societies and economies is met by requiring additional language study and one semester of study abroad during which students take course related to social, political and economic environments in foreign countries.
Focus areas within the International Business Studies major now include Accounting, Finance, Economics, Marketing, Management, Human Resource Management and Supply Chain Management. Students are encouraged to consider a minor in a related field, such as foreign language, Political Science or Economics.
