SpartanCareers
SpartanCareers is one of the best sources for information about active internships - for credit or not - in Greensboro, in areas close by, and throughout the state.
Login Instructions
- Current Students: Enter your username and password and click LOGIN.
- Your username is the complete UNCG preferred email address in your UNCGenie account.
- Your password is your birthdate (ex: 2/07/88 would be 020788). Be sure to change password after your first log in.

Research
Use your internet research skills to find companies that do what you want to do. Many Company websites often have a “Careers” section that includes internship opportunities.
For additional websites with internship leads - including international internships - go to Internship Websites page.
Other internship sources include e-leads and CareerShift .
Jackson Library’s Business Librarian and the Career Services Library (#1 EUC) can assist you in researching employers and possible internships.
Network
One of the best ways to get an internship is to let friends, co-workers and faculty know that you are seeking an internship. Be able to clearly state your interests, skills, and goals so that others can possibly suggest contacts for you. If you know a student who is finishing an internship that would appeal to you, ask that student to tell you more about their experience. If interested, ask the student who you might talk to at the internship site.
Creating Your Own Internship
In some cases the internship of your dreams may not be posted in SpartanCareers or anywhere else. It could be that your dream internship has not yet been developed and is waiting for you to create it. Maybe you found a great internship, but the organization offering it is too far from home. You could possibly create an internship at a similar organization nearby. If you have identified an organization that you are interested in and they are not currently offering an internship, you may be able to create one of your own.
Make an Appointment
Jump-start your search for an internship by making an appointment with a Career Counselor (334-5454) and with your Faculty Internship Coordinator in your major department.

INTERNSHIPS USAThe "Internship Series On Line," a service of www.internships-usa.com, claims to be "the most comprehensive source of internship information on the web." The site provides full, up-to-date information on over 2,800 organizations offering internships and summer jobs for students.
